SCULPTURES
In 1976, a local sculptor, Men Fowler, held the Liberty Hill International Sculpture Symbosium. 26 sculptors from six countries to Central Texas worked for two months on giant statues that would become Liberty Hill’s most noteworthy attraction. The year after the symposium, Liberty Hill won the first Texas Arts Award for a city with a population less than 100,000.
The sculpture park was originally located in downtown Liberty Hill where it remained for more than a decade. But after it fell victim to vandals, the sculptures were moved to the Lions Foundation Park.
The Liberty Hill Sculpture park is currently located at the Louine Noble Elementary School at 101 Loop 332 in Liberty Hill. It can also be accessed through Lions Foundation Park located at 355 Loop 332 in Liberty Hill. Both parks are easily accessible and are free.
